  Fake Checks
This is an interesting scam website (it isn't a scam, it exposes scams) that does Candid Camera type tests of people. It covers all the common scams from foreign lotteries, to home businesses and even roommate scams. Here is one of the interesting videos at FakeChecks.org.

FakeChecks.org was created by the National Consumers League (NCL), the nation's oldest nonprofit consumer organization, as a central source of information and advice about fake check scams. NCL created the site in collaboration with the Alliance for Consumer Fraud Awareness, a coalition of consumer and business organizations, government agencies, and companies that are committed to fighting fake check scams.

  AutoComplete
Ever been on a website, attempted to enter your personal information and your PC wants to store your personal information? Sure you have. Whether you're punching in payment information, your address or even passwords you wouldn't tell your best friend, AutoComplete attempts to "save" the information.

Although convenient for future browsing and shopping, AutoComplete is a feature that can put your personal information at risk, especially when entering your card number to buy those concert tickets or books or whatever your interests. First, anyone who uses your computer or who shares your network can access your log-in and previous search information as stored through AutoComplete and second, a hacker now has a nice convenient place to access all important information.

AutoComplete got its start in 2001 when the first authentication web forms first stored personal information. Every Web browser utilizes a different AutoComplete function and all can put your information at risk, so it's necessary to stay on top of the proper way to disable this feature.

To disable auto-complete:

  Vulnerabilty Update From Prior Post
Here is more detailed description:

There are two so called vulnerabilities described in the article.

First part mentions BSOD due to the lack of data checking in the internal driver requests. The code that was hacked is outdated and don’t needed for modern PCs. This code will be removed from the products in the nearest MPs.

Second part mentions lack in the self defense of the product. The product is protected from the DuplicateHandle routine for the processes but the author used DuplicateHandle for stopping the threads. There is a huge number of techniques allowing product stop. Most of AV vendors does not provide self defense at all. Kaspersky AV makes self-defense penetration as hard as possible. But we can’t close all the possibilities Windows provides. Closing DuplicateHandle for threads is resource-expensive but ineffective task. Driver in KAV 8.0 will be better defended.
